The Red Skelton Museum Foundation Board of Directors

C. James McCormick, Chairman
“Jim” , is former National Chairman of the American Trucking Association, The Indiana Motor Transport Association, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Vincennes University, to name a few. He has worked diligently for the past 11 years on the Red Skelton Project. He worked with Dr. Phillip Summers in approaching the Indiana Legislature for funding to build the beautiful Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. He provided funding for the building of the Red Skelton Museum shell and is working with local and national civic leaders as chairman of the Red Skelton Museum Foundation for its completion.

Dr. Phillip Summers, President
“Phil” , President Emeritus of Vincennes University, and civic leader, was the visionary who dreamed of honoring Red Skelton by building a Performing Arts Center and Learning Center on the campus of Vincennes University. Classes for drama, the dance, music, theatre arts and band are all housed within the performing arts center. He has worked on the Red Skelton Project for 11 years and since his recent retirement is also “project coordinator”.

Mr. Bernard Niehaus, Vice President
“Bernie”, Owner and President of a building supply conglomerate is a civic leader and past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Vincennes University, and has many other awards noting his outstanding work in business and his community. He has been a diligent member of the Red Skelton Project.

Mrs. C. James (Marilyn) McCormick, Secretary
Marilyn has partnered with her husband and Dr. Summers for the past 11 years working on all phases of the Red Skelton Project. Formerly from Indianapolis, she earned the Key To The City for volunteer recognition, and created a new concept, developing the Vincennes Farmers market for the prosperity and benefit of her new community. She developed the concept for the Red Skelton Festival and Gala in 2006 and with the work of an excellent committee was successful in raising funds for the museum.

Mr. Phillip Rath, Treasurer
“Phil” has provided stewardship of funding for the museum, and was very instrumental in working with the Indiana State Legislature for the development of the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. He has overviewed the building process, monitoring it to completion and has provided invaluable advice to the Red Skelton Project.
