VU Agribusiness students shine with second-place finishes in national livestock judging contest

A team of Vincennes University Agribusiness students showcased their outstanding expertise by placing second in the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Livestock Judging Contest last month. In addition to the team's success, VU student Sidnee Mason emerged as a standout performer, placing second as an individual participant.

VU Conservation Law Majors complete grueling 24-hour Green Mile challenge

The culmination of the Green Mile was nothing short of impressive, showcasing the determination and resilience of Vincennes University Conservation Law Enforcement majors. As 28 VU students completed a 24-hour challenge, they collectively achieved a feat worth bragging about: covering over 18 miles through walking and running plus conquering 1,000 meters of swimming.

Hartsfield named VU Women’s Basketball Interim Head Coach

Vincennes University has taken the first step in its effort to fill the roles of its legendary Hall of Fame Coach and Director of Athletics Harry Meeks, who announced his retirement on April 24. VU Assistant Coach Ingrida Hartsfield has been named VU Women’s Basketball Interim Head Coach. Meeks announced her appointment on Wednesday, May 8.

VU confers 2,192 degrees at Spring 2024 Commencement

Around 575 Vincennes University graduates of the Class of 2024 walked across the stage at the P.E. Complex during Saturday’s 218th annual Spring Commencement. VU President Dr. Chuck Johnson conferred 2,192 degrees to the Class of 2024 across all campuses and sites. The diverse cohort of graduates represents VU’s commitment to excellence, and showcases the University's widespread impact, with grads hailing from 75 of Indiana’s 92 counties, 27 other states plus the District of Columbia, and six countries, reflecting VU's global presence.
